The average person spends approximately 372.91 hours behind the wheel each year*, so you want to ensure that you are driving something you truly enjoy! Wrapping your vehicle is a great way to provide your own unique style (especially if there are inventory shortages and you can't get your vehicle in the colour you were hoping for).
Wrapping can also provide an excellent solution to adding a layer of protection for your original factory paint. You'll avoid light scratches and the paint fading in the sun around the entire body of the vehicle.
Wrapping also allows you more control over the customization of your vehicle. Don't like the colour after some time, or selling your vehicle and wish to have the factory paint colour returned? Contact us and we can remove it, or remove and install a new colour!
This completely depends on what you are looking to have wrapped and the type of vehicle!
Smaller projects like chrome deletes and mirror wraps we usually request that you leave the vehicle with us for a couple hours - one day.
Bigger projects like full wraps we estimate approximately 5 full business days. We use this much time as the vehicle receives an exterior detail prior to installation to ensure there a little to no imperfections beneath the wrap. Each panel then gets wrapped with attention to detail. After installation we then post-heat the materials on the vehicle to greatly decrease the chance of wrap failure.
There are many types of wrap finishes so let's go over them!
The Basics (and the most popular)
Gloss - provides a paint like finish with high shine.
Satin - a mix of gloss and matte. While it doesn't provide as much of a shine as gloss does, this finish does provide a light reflection that highlights vehicle body lines beautifully.
Matte - a dull/flat colour finish. While matte wraps can look stunning, keep in mind that they require more effort to maintain a clean look. Matte materials tend to hold onto things like grease marks from your fingers. Also be cautious with matte if you are considering ceramic coatings as those coatings can provide a gloss or slight colour change to this type of material.
Matte Metallic - provides a matte like finish while providing a metallic shine.
Specialty (higher price but provides a rarer style to your vehicle)
Colour flow / Colour flip - the colour of the wrap changes when exposed to different light settings.
Chrome - offers a mirror like finish (VAS is currently not offering full vehicle wraps in chrome due to the installation complexity with this material)
Textured - this can vary from anything like a brushed finish, carbon fibre or even textured designs. There is more of a "3D feel" to the material.
Most wraps can last for approximately 3-7 years.
The lifetime of the wrap is dependant on the type of material used, proper after care, and how the material was installed.
We favourite 3M and Avery Dennison as they have a proven history of providing good quality material, beautiful finishes, a wide range of colour options, and the list could go on and on...
